Wet Cat

How Come

Listen to the song and you'll understand the picture reference (perhaps, it's a bit of a stretch t.b.h.)

Written by Ronnie Lane and Kevin Westlake after the Small Faces had disbanded.  Lane went on to collaborate with Westlake, Gallagher and Lyle in his next band Slim Chance. The latter went on to have greater fame on their own. Ronnie had multiple sclerosis and it took him too early at the age of just 51. Have a listen to this song, which you may not have heard before.

Matthew & Son

Cat Stevens released this as a single in 1967 and it was the title track to his first album.  He was signed to Warner Bros as a teenager because of his spectacular song-writing talent.  This tune has been picked up by Tears for Fears (Mad World) and Echo and the Bunnymen (The Cutter).  We hope you like our rendition.

Little Lies

This needs no introduction really.  Fleetwood Mac's iconic song from the Tango In The Night album of 1987 has always been a favourite of all the band members.  We hope we do it justice.  Have a listen.

500 miles

This traditional song may be related to the older folk song "900 Miles" which may itself have origins in the Southern American fiddle tunes "Reuben's Train" and "Train 45".  Johnny Cash is known to have included "500 Miles" on his list of 100 essential country songs in the early 1970s.

Toulouse Street

Toulouse Street is in Mid Town, New Orleans in the historic quarter.  We think this song gives you a sense of streetlife at night and is very atmospheric.  This is the title track from the Doobie Brothers eponymous album.  It deserves to be better known and we hope you like our version of it.  Drop us a line to let us know what you think.

Stuck In The Middle With You

This song was written by Stealers Wheel.  The most famous member of the band was Gerry Rafferty, who went on to have an impressive solo career.  We hope you like our version of this, his first hit.

Bad Moon Rising

This song was written by Credence Clearwater Revival.  Since it seems so apt for our current Climate Emergency we have added two extra verses of our own. This was us playing at Mind The Gap

Til There Was You

This is a show tune written by Meredith Willson, popularised by his 1957 stage production The Music Man and its 1962 movie musical adaptation, and further popularised by the Beatles cover.

The song became the first Top 40 hit for Anita Bryant in 1959 prior to being recorded by the Beatles in 1963.  This was recorded at The White Mill, Sandwich - a charity gig we did in May 2024.
